中文摘要:随着新能源电力接入电网的比例不断升高,换流器型电源可能在某些场景下取代同步机型电源构建电网频率/电压形成换流器型电网(converter-based grid,CBG)。此时,CBG中需要储能支撑电网运行,储能并网换流器由传统的跟网型(grid-following,GFL)改变为构网型(grid-forming,GFM)。首先,通过对比GFL控制与GFM控制,阐述GFM储能对CBG的支撑作用。其次,建立储能的全寿命周期成本模型。考虑系统运行约束,以储能的全寿命周期成本与弃风弃光惩罚成本之和最小为目标构建规划模型。然后,在约束条件中引入考虑电压与无功的交流潮流约束和构网型电源功率占比约束,并将交流潮流约束和构网型电源功率占比等非线性约束线性化。最后,在改进的IEEE-14节点CBG中验证了所提储能容量配置方法。结果表明,所提方法得到的储能配置结果可以有效保证CBG的稳定运行。 |

Energy Storage Capacity Configuration Considering Converter-Based Grid Support Needs and Economic Viability |

Abstract:As the proportion of new energy power connected to the grid increases, converter-based power sources may replace synchronous power sources in some scenarios, establishing a converter-based grid (CBG) for frequency/voltage regulation. In this context, energy storage becomes imperative within the CBG to support grid operations, and energy storage-interconnected converters transition from the traditional grid-following (GFL) mode to the grid-forming (GFM) mode. Firstly, by comparing GFL control and GFM control, the supporting role of GFM energy storage for CBG is described. Subsequently, a comprehensive life-cycle cost model for energy storage is established. Considering system operational constraints, a planning model is formulated to minimize the sum of the life-cycle cost of energy storage and penalties for wind and solar curtailment. Constraints are introduced, encompassing AC power flow constraints considering voltage and reactive power, and the minimum proportion constraint for grid-forming power capacity. Nonlinear constraints such as AC power flow and grid-forming power capacity proportion are linearized. Finally, the proposed energy storage capacity allocation method is validated in an improved IEEE-14 bus CBG. The results demonstrate that the proposed method effectively ensures the stable operation of the CBG. |
